Monthly Events

At Freeside Atlanta, we have recurring monthly events where members get together to work on projects, engage in discussions, or just blow off some steam and socialize.

Open House (Second and Fourth Tuesdays)

Come out to check out what's going on at Freeside and meet some folks from the local community of hobbyists, artists, researchers, and crazy people!

Monthly Buildout (Fourth Saturday)

Buildout is an open event where both members and folks from the community set aside their projects and get to work on improving our space itself. Nearly all of Freeside's major infrastructure changes were started or completed during one buildout or another, and it's a great chance to make a difference at this awesome place we're all building together. Come swing a hammer, or just put one back on the wall, and at some point we'll even try to feed you pizzas for your trouble.

Freeside Open Mic and Music Meetup (First Friday)

Whether you're a seasoned musician with a thing for local scenes, or a fledgling ukulele player trying to get on a stage for the first time, you'll find a microphone waiting for you at the Music Meetup and Open Mic at Freeside Atlanta.

Our open mic works a little different. To stretch those musical muscles, we start off the evening with a new activity each month at 7:30 and then proceed to a traditional open mic at 8:30. After the open mic, we open the stage up for a free jam that lasts until the last person leaves the room.
